Pio Pio (food journey week 22)

(i think i will be posting food journey entries on my personal blog from now on since blog.com sucks)
woke up at like 12:30 mad late for the POH meeting.
i got to hunter around 2:30 to meet up wit ray, ling and jerome.

For the food journey this week we went to a peruvian restaurant called Pio Pio at Murray Hill.

->the food
first we got the jalea

(not my pic, from google images but it was the samething but ours was presented better)
pretty much calamari, with shrimp and fish fried with the calamari batter. then it was topped with onion, tomato lime sauce.
it was $28 bucks be we got a whole mountain of it and it was mad good.

we also got the peruvian rotisserie chicken with rice and beans, salad with avocados, fried plantains, and sangria. it also came with some pastel grean colored sauce.

after much google-ing i have found out it is called Aji.
im going to make it when i have time and put it on everything till i get tired of it.
i have been obsessed with this sauce for a while now and i have it at least once a week when i get empanadas after class. i usually drink the rest of the sauce after i finish my empanada.

->opinions
the food was great and definitely worth it but the service sucked. if we wanted something we had to wait cuz the waiter, some spanish guy, was flirting with some male cusomer eating alone. he sat at his table and just chilled with him. we ended up being the "waiters" get it? haha. (corny)

but yea, silly faggot, dicks are for chicks. lol

• nothing rele random happened today but i came across this random video on ISS.

it is a failed attept of a person trying to strip infront of a webcam (no sounds)
i dont even know what she was trying to do. i seems like she wanted it get hurt.

Anatomy test #2- fail, Stat test- mad easy

(I actually typed this on march 25 but i found out you can change the date of the entry.
since i am going to talk about march 24 i decided to change the date instead of making a long entry about the 24th and 25th. )

i studied a few hours on yesterday and felt really confident.
i knew thats was a bad thing though because its suppose to be a hard test.

Then i wanted to sleep early but i couldnt sleep for cuz of a couple things.

1. The TV was on and all the late night talk shows seemed interesting.
2. so i turned it off and still wasnt able to sleep cuz i kept thinking about what i could be watching on TV.
3. i was also thinking about the food journey to pio pio on wednesday.
4. another reason was because i kept thinking about the test
5. Afraid of over sleeping and end up missing the test.

so i ended up falling asleep a little after 1:30

I woke up at 5 left a little before 6 and got to bmcc before 7 to study a little more before my 8:00 class.

While i was taking the test i couldnt focus cuz i was so tired. after eveyone handed in the tests, he graded them in 5 mins with the scantron machine. we got our grades back and i got a 64 with the extra credit. sucks.
i forgot to study all the parts of the scapula and humerus and some other bs.

then after the test, i had a statistics test.
i think i got like a 100 and the extra credit on that test.

after stat i still had spanish class at 4 and then human sexuality at 7. by the time i got on the train at like 8:30 and i was mad stressed.

anatomy and physiology test 2 study session procrastination

im so bored of studying for my A&P test thats on tuesday 8 in the morning. and i got a stat test after that.

if i were shown samples of epithelial tissues, i wouldnt be able to tell the difference between

• simple columnar epithelium
• pseudostatified columnar epithelium
• stratified columnar epithelium

enough about my complaints

after work, went straight home and studied. = wack

Randomness of the day

• Ray picked me up from work and then while i was getting my stuff from the lockers, carmen calls to tell me she was also picking me up.
  Then we had a "tricycle" date to chipotle and then cupcakes at magnolia's.
• btw we all got carnitas burrito bowls coincidentally
• Ling's current game of the brick breaker, that he has been playing for about 2 months straight now and has gained 1.5 million points was all erased because his phone froze. he had to pull out the battery which cause his game session to reset.
  YOU TIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
• i have customers who think im their new best friend just cuz i was being a salesman acting like i was interested in talking to them even though i just wanted to make them buy more stuff and get credit for it. lol

so currently im addicted to street fighter IV.
going to chris or enrique's house as much as i can to play it.

so today,
besides it being st. patricks day, it is also me and carmens 3.5 years since we been goin out.

i dont really celebrate by the months cuz thats a lil corny but this is a pretty big accomplishment.
i cant believe its been 3.5 years already.

Relaxing at home

so today, i just stayed home the whole day.
i havent done this in a while and wanted to catch up with sleep.

• i woke up at about 1.
• ate a bowl of honey nut cheerios
• fixed up my room a little.
• watched youtube videos
• ate some spicy chicken and rice.
• ate some nutter butters
• watched more youtube videos
• read a little of my spanish 101 book
• at 5:30 took a 2 and half hour nap
• ate dinner
• watched tv

Randomness of the day

• saturday- some carribean guy heard the reggae music we were playin at work. he was standing outside the door he was listening and bobbing his head. i told him to come in and he stayed for like 30 mins just chillin, dancing and singing.
• friday- carla told me about the ruler newspaper trick due to atmospheric pressure.

• some girls came into the store and took pictures with me and asked for my name and facebook. mad random. i felt famous for a moment.

just did mad spanish hw in the language lab pretty much the whole day.

then in human sexuality we learned about transexuals and watched a documentary.

i will elaborate later on.
got an anatomy and physiology quiz tomorrow at 8 am on the skeletal system.
i will update more on the pizza and the trannies prolly during stat tomorrow.

***update****
so the documentary was mad wierd.
i feel asleep for a little and then woke up to an indian tranny getting "her" penis cut off.
its was all bloody and disgusting.
in the end the indian tranny felt more like a woman. but her face still had a masuline structure and her voice was still a little deep so idn.

another part some fat white guy goes on vacation to bangkok and meets a chick there.
then he hooks up wit her and he find out she had a penis. instead of gettin disgusted he gets even more turned on... wtf???
then in the end of the story the get married cuz this guy likes women but like taking it up the ass so he found his match hahahhaa. mad weird.

happy 21 years to my parents!!

before i talk about my day and w/e else i would like to dedicate an entry to them.

i just want to congratulate my parents on thier 21st anniversary.

but that got me thinking March 12th 1988 is when they got married and i was born on January 7th, 1989. that is a little less than 10 months. and scientifically a child is born 9 months after fertilization.
so......my educated guess is that they "piped" around this time about 21 years ago.
YES!!!! im learning more about myself.

I dedicate this song to them.
this song became famous prolly around the same time they met.



while looking up the growing pains theme song above i bumped in to a chinese dubbed growing pains that i found funny.
i didnt know that growing pains was big over in china. hahaha

Stop and Shop Dinner!!!!!!

didnt really feel like cooking so my dinner was made up of food i got from stop and shop yesterday.

progresso minestrone soup remixed with a lil salt, pepper and a table spoon of sour cream (aka crema for my SPIC-tacular people out there)

i had a bowl of one of my favorite cereals, Cinnamon Toast Crunch with cold milk.

im not really into sweets and desserts, im more into fried shit and meats (no homo).
the only sweeet foods i like is gum, ice cream, fried ice cream, fruits and cereal, and prolly rice crispy treats every once in a while.

so right now im in stat class. mad bored and this class is a little less than an hour and a half.

• earlier me and carla were eating ritz bits with cheese and she told me a story of how she use to just eat the crackers and make a big ball of cheese from all the cheese she collects in the packet and eats it separate.
